Ok its been a while since I wrote to you folsk here. Last news was my 17 yr old daughter came to live with me after 5 yrs of no contact. A miacle in our world. Anyway all is well, she is well adjusted and happy. Her two brothers I still have no contact with, but know that the oldest is not at home and is working full time (since last summer)
So, now I need to adjust the amount paid to the ex. She is collecting table for three plus section 7. As a result of my daughter moving in and 1 son moving out, and only 1 son living with the ex, I am overpaying in the neighbourhood of 1300 per month. As of 1 Feb she owes me about 6000, the lawyer has tried to make contact , we are still waiting (she is self represented). As long as she gets all the extra money why should she move fast, after all it is me who is suffering the high payments. I expect that the revised order will not be in place at FRO untill may. What would happen if I stopped paying FRO through PAP( I would tell bank to cease the direct payments to them) and paid them what I thought was closer to reality. This would result in her not getting any money and maybe cause her to react a bit faster. It would still leave a large overpayment owed to me, and a minor balancing, at the time of the new order, of what I would pay vs what the new court order says.
What risks do I face? from FRO and the courts?
Thoughts please
Thanks
