Fathers Battling Injustice

Where you were wrong.

I've been wanting to write this for a long time, "Where was I wrong?".

Let's see.. Being immobilized, unable to ask permission. I sensed, but did not wish to endure a rage.

In that sense, I knew, and yet still steared a course. Or sat, and watched it roll in motion. Our Worlds in Collision.

I ignored the 10 yr. custody order in the true sense. We had become family.. not visitors, and wanted to be together on our own. Even, and yes, within the realm, without an altered order.

True, I had not agreed from the beginning and had secretly hoped that someday we could, before that time had passed.

My optimism & leaden feet brought this on. Knowing the danger of an hiss, or sting of a bite: there was no need to wave a red flag.

And, be damned, my stubborn pride, to not wave a white one either!

Besides, The Truth, these ideals get in the way. No, I was naieve to think so. But strip away whatever convoluted argument and the fact remains the same, Absolutely nothing has changed.

Except, of course, that we've all got a whole lot older. Greatly saddened & lost. Somehow we may have shouldered the pain of someone.

If ever I see your smile (my child), then my naieve optimism will soar, as I swell with pride in the Truth we are Together. :)) yah!
